It doesn't have to be a major problem. You can get help for your pet when your regular veterinarian isn't available. But, when an emergency does occur, Animal Emergency and Urgent Care should be your first stop before trekking to an expensive specialists office. We keep our prices fair so that you can easily afford to take care of your pet.
We're the premier emergency veterinary clinic serving pet owners and primary-care veterinarians in Palm Harbor, Clearwater, Dunedin, Tarpon Springs, Oldsmar, Safety Harbor, New Port Richey, Holiday, Town and Country, Pinellas and west Hillsborough County including Tampa. Formerly known as Animal Emergency of Countryside, we've expanded our facilities in 2009, doubling the size of our emergency veterinary center, so that we can offer even better service to you and your pet.
Prompt care means less suffering for your pet, faster recovery, and often lower cost to you. Because many specialty veterinary offices charge a premium, you should make Emergency Animal and Urgent Care your first stop. We won't price you out of being able to care for your pet, and can offer a referral to a specialty vet if required.
If your cat, dog, or other domestic pet has a health problem at night, on the weekend, or on a holiday, our animal ER stands ready to help. At Animal Emergency, your pet will receive immediate comfort and relief, and you'll be giving them the best chance for a speedy recovery.
Our animal hospital always has an experienced emergency vet on duty, and our staff of trained technicians is professional and compassionate. We keep the fees for service reasonable so that they are within your reach as a responsible pet owner. Our office accepts many forms of Pet Insurance to make your emergency situation less stressful, and more affordable.
Animal Emergency + Urgent Care complements a responsible approach to your pet's health.
Animal Emergency + Urgent Care has been the leading emergency animal hospital in north Pinellas County for over 25 years, serving tens of thousands of clients, including over 15,000 since 2000.
Our after-hours veterinary center offers urgent diagnosis and treatment services for your cat, dog, or other domestic pet, including the following:
- Clinical laboratory
- Oxygen Therapy
- Intravenous Therapy
- On-Site Surgical Suite
- Intensive Care

We treat all types of pets, including dogs, cats, ferrets, birds, reptiles, etc. Even rabbits and hamsters!
Our Animal ER partners with your regular veterinarian to ensure that your pet health care needs are covered around the clock, seven days a week. You don't need an appointment. If possible, call ahead to get assistance from our staff and help us prepare for your pet's arrival.
