Dog or Cat Hit by Car
When a pet, usually cats or dogs, has been hit by a car, it should always be seen by a veterinarian immediately. Even if the victim is conscious and seemingly OK, there is a good chance that there's hidden damage.
In addition to physically examining your pet, lab work and radiographs should be performed to rule out any unseen damage.
Also, your veterinarian will give anti-inflammatory and other medications to reduce pain and assist healing.
On evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, call Animal Emergency at 727-786-5755.
